About the product

AI for the first draft. Canvas for the final say.

Plan2Canvas is a market-validation beta for a more useful kind of AI floor plan workflow.

01

Why Plan2Canvas exists

AI can create a floor plan image quickly, but speed is not the same as usefulness. Generated layouts often miss a doorway, move a wall, or reinterpret a room that was already correct.

Plan2Canvas is built around a simple product belief: AI should accelerate the first draft, while a browser Canvas should make the result correctable and portable.

02

Who the beta is for

The beta is designed for homeowners, renovation planners, interior design freelancers, students, and small teams who need an early layout direction without learning a full CAD suite.

It is not intended for permit drawings, construction documentation, structural decisions, building-code compliance, or survey-grade measurements.

03

What we are validating

The primary success metric is not image generation volume. It is the number of editable floor plans that users actually save.

We are testing whether text and sketch inputs lead to useful drafts, whether users enter Canvas to correct them, and which export or editing capabilities create enough value to support a sustainable product.

04

How the product is built

The frontend is a static Astro and React application designed for Cloudflare Pages. Supabase provides authentication, Railway hosts the FastAPI backend and its MySQL and Redis services, Cloudflare R2 stores user assets, and KIE provides the AI models.

The system intentionally uses one AI provider during market validation. Additional providers, 3D output, DXF, and payments remain deferred until user behavior proves they are needed.
